The AMI-4-SME project was finalised in September 2008. Information about the elaborated project results are available via the Result page.
Our final review meeting was held in October, 24th 2008 at the AMI-4-SME project partners TRIMEK and CARSA.
The AMI-4-SME project is member of the Cluster of European RFID projects (CERP). CERP is promoting the experience exchange of European research projects and actively communicating research results to the public audience. CERP projects were presenting their work and a Working Paper on RFID Research Needs at the expert conferences "RFID: Towards the Internet of Things" in Berlin, Lisbon and Nice (June 2007, November 2007 and October 2008).
Based on the CERP working paper, presented at the RFID conference in Lisbon, a Report on Research Needs and Future Trends (Research in the scope of RFID and the Internet of Things) was prepared in preparation of the Nice Conference of the French EU Presidency on the Internet of Things & Internet of the Future. This report as well as additional information is available via the following link (http://www.iot-visitthefuture.eu/).
In the scope of IMS activities, AMI-4-SME had several meetings with partners from Australia. Results and experience was exchanged, while we harmonised our plans to facilitate future cooperation and regional activities. There are also several Australian business cases, which are serving for further identification of SME innovation needs as well as for test, assessment and optimisation of project results.
Key outcome and latest deliverables of the project are the following:
- full prototypes of AMI-4-SME Building Blocks and AmI based solutions for manufacturing SME environments,
- AMI-4-SME software platform,
- AMI-4-SME book, presenting the project results and the experience gained,
- AMI-4-SME Methodology supporting the realisation of AmI-based innovations in manufactoring SME's.
AMI-4-SME organised in cooperation with the InAmI project a joint workshop on: Collaborative Working Environments in Manufacturing: Challenges and Opportunities for EU industry. You can download the presentations from the workshop website.
